Well, here is the result of my little experiment. As I said, I changed the setting of the storyline to six months before the start of Naruto Shippuuden, and I tried to make it look as much as Masashi-sensei's style as possible for me. How I did the inking was very interesting. What I did was I took a blank file from photoshop and outlined the panels. Then, I printed out the panels and drew out the scene. Now, instead of waiting for a pen to ink it, I scanned it the way it was and used the graphics tablet to draw over the pencil, later erasing what was left, and adding the text. The inking didn't take much longer than it would have with a pen, and I can fix any mistakes I make without ruining the piece. The only thing that made it take longer than usual was that I've been sick this past week, and when I'm sick, my drawing skills are lacking in their usual quality. I didn't start really feeling better until last night, and I was able to finish the drawing portion. Then I scanned it and inked it today. It took a hell of a lot of work, but I should go a little faster once I've got the hang of this new style. Also, I don't have to worry about how well I allign my panels with a ruler, either (I hate using those things unless I have to). I loved how this came out, and hopefully the next ones will come out just as well. Enjoy!
Edit: I just downloaded the font normally used in manga, and now I've applied (and will apply to future pages) to the pages I have so far. I also downloaded the Kingdom Hearts font for my soon to come doujin of Axel. ^^ I can't wait to use it.
